Responsibilities Practices professional nursing to provide patient care to post partum and newborn patients through the use of the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation and evaluation Collects data pertinent to patient's health status, creates an individualized plan of care Performs ongoing assessment of patient's status Assesses outcomes and revises careplan as needed to achieve outcomes Contributes to professional development of staff and colleagues Works in collaboration with multi disciplinary team members Appropriately delegates nursing care to other direct care team members This position does not currently require mandatory call but may include this requirement in the future Education ADN/BSN BSN Preferred Current MN RN license in good standing Current NRP and BLS training Qualifications Experience Postpartum experience required-Capstone/internship in OB would be consi! dered Skills Critical thinking and problem solving skills Strong assessment and clinical skills Organization/time management skills/prioritization Delegation skills Customer service and interpersonal skills Multi tasking skills Teamwork Excellent verbal and written communication skills Computer skills RN hires with less than 1 year of RN experience must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing (American Association of Colleges of Nursing or The National League for Nursing) which is inclusive of a clinical rotation in an acute care facility.
