Location: Minneapolis Minnesota

Description: Hennepin County Medical Center is looking of Clinic Supervisor - OB/GYN Clinic right now, this occupation will be placed in Minnesota. This is a full-time, 80 hours per pay period, benefits eligible position.

Minimum Education/Work Experience

-- Completion of an academic program appropriate to the position

-- Two (2) years of supervisory experience in an ambulatory care or physician group practice or academic medicine setting or a combination of education and relevant supervisory experience to total at least four (4) years

-- RN licensure

Preferred qualifications

-- Bachelors degree in a field appropriate to the position plus two (2) years of supervisory experience in an ambulatory care or physician group practice or academic medicine setting.

-- Previous O! B/GYN experience

License/Certifications

-- C! urrent licensure by the Minnesota Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse, if position requires an RN.

Under the supervision of the Practice Manager and in collaboration with the Medical Director, coordinates and maintains daily operational activities of the practice to include patient flow and staffing, to maximize patient satisfaction and service for all customers. Responsible for implementing performance/quality improvement and customer service initiatives to create a superior patient experience.

Job Functions

1. Maintains oversight of daily activity to assure efficient patient flow.

2. Ensures a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff, and maintains compliance with all safety requirements impacting areas of responsibility.

3. Determines and justifies staffing needs. Appropriately staffs, trains, and coaches employees to maintain efficient and effective operations.

4. Provides support for physicians in resol! ving problems and addressing issues so that they can effectively practice medicine.

5. Works collaboratively with physicians and staff to improve/optimize efficient and effective operations.

6. Promotes a congenial work environment among physicians and practice staff based on mutual respect.

7. Establishes and monitors performance/quality improvement activities in the practice to comply with organizational expecations for providing effective care and efficient, patient-centered service. Engages staff in monitoring activities and facilitates staff selection of appropriate indicators.

8. Demonstrates and fosters good customer service skills to promote optimal patient satisfaction.

9 Provides input to Practice Manager in preparation of budget to ensure appropriate fiscal and human resource management of the practice.

10 Oversess procurement and appropriate maintenance of medical and pharmaceutical supplies.

11. Ass! ures on-going compliance with accreditation, credentialing, regulatory ! and professional standards, as well as HCMC policies and procedures impacting the clinical area.

12. Assists Practice Manager in promoting and developing marketing activities to ensure continued practice growth and makret share.

13. Other functions as assigned.
