Responsibilities
To perform high-quality, non-invasive, diagnostic imaging using ultrasound technology to aid the physician in the diagn! osis of medical conditions.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
A degree from an accredited two-year Ultrasound program
At least 1 ARDMS certification within 6 months of hire
Must be certified in all areas (with the exception of cardiac) within 5 years of hire
At least 1 year of experience as an ultrasound technologist preferred, but will consider new graduate
Skills:
Must have a good working knowledge of ultrasound, be a competent scanner, and be able to work independently as well as part of a team
Must be a very strong team player
Must be within 40 minutes to help out as needed
Must be knowledgeable and competent in Abd, OB/GYN, Vascular, Breast, Small parts, Biopsies, Thoracentesis and Paracentesis exams and procedures
Strong customer service and communication skills
Excellent at problem solving and conflict resolution
Excellent planning, coordinating, and decision making skills
Excellent techn! ical ability
Licensure/Certification:
RDMS, RVT also preferred
BLS
Medical Terminology Required

Casual Position
Day/Evening/Night Shift
Work Schedule: No routinely scheduled hours. Will be used to pick up varied shifts as needed throughout the month. Required to work a minimum of 2 shifts per month if shifts are available. Required to work a minimum of 2 days of call per month if call days are available, and holiday call if needed.
