Entertainment Costuming - Part Time

Entertainment Costuming dressers provide costuming services to both Contracted and Non-Contracted Entertainment Cast Members who perform in various Shows, Parades, Spectaculars, and Events. They are responsible for pulling, assembling, pre-setting, and issuing costumes, and dressing various Characters and Performers. They ensure show quality of Costumes by performing minor repairs and arranging for laundering of Costumes.

Responsibilities :
  • Interact with and provide exceptional service to a diverse Cast in a fast paced and changing work environment on a daily basis
  • Troubleshoot Costume and Performer needs and create service solutions in a timely manner
  • Ensure that Costumes are show ready and identify Costumes that are in need of repair
  • Assist performers to dress and undress and take care of used costumes
  • Assemble various Costumes and ensure consistency in the build
  • Retrieve and handle soiled Costumes on a daily basis
  • Ensure work location is clean and organized

Basic Qualifications :
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Eager to interact and assist Cast Members and Guests
  • Service-oriented and flexible
  • Safety mindset and proactive to communicate concerns
  • Can complete repetitious tasks while maintaining quality of work
  • Comfortable with prolonged standing for two to three hours at a time and heavy lifting may be required
  • Willing to work at various heights
  • Comfortable working in outdoor conditions with heat, cold, and all types of weather
  • Part Time requires year-round availability for all holidays and weekends: Friday after 5pm and full availability Saturday & Sunday
  • Part Time requires full availability during our peak times of the year: Spring Break, Thanksgiving and the end-of-year Holidays

Preferred Qualifications:
  • High School diploma
  • Bilingual
  • Costuming issue or repair experience
  • Experience working with costumes in a theatre or show production, college theater, or paid theater experience
  • Sewing experience
  • Retail experience
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Valid California driver’s license
  • Flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and special events
  • Full availability for any shift, seven (7) days a week

Additional Information :
SCHEDULE AVAILABILITY
Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 5:00am while some may end as late as 3:00am, 4:00am or 5:00am. You may be scheduled a graveyard shift. Please note that the principles of seniority are used to schedule all roles.
