JOB SUMMARY

The Inside Sales Representative sells products for distribution to business and industrial establishments or individuals at sales office, store showroom, or customer’s place of business. Generates new business and drives repeat business by ensuring customer satisfaction.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Displays or demonstrates product, using samples or catalog, and emphasized salable features
  • Quotes prices and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained
  • Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm’s production and delivery schedules
  • Types formal quotations into computer and faxes or emails to customer
  • Enters sales Orders into computer one PO is received from a customer
  • Proofreads all Sales Orders prior to processing
  • Verifies customer confirming with sales orders to ensure accuracy
  • Follows up with quotes on customers to possibly turn into orders

OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • As assigned by management

ANNUAL SALARY: $60k -$70k / Depending on Experience


Required Skills
  • EDUCATION (either of the following):
    • Minimum of 2 years’ sales experience in the metals industry or Associate’s Degree required
  • Strong phone presence and listening skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability of multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, multiplication, ratios and proportions to practical situations
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
