Gate Attendant

Gate Attendants are an integral part of the operation of Tours of St. Louis Cemetery No. 1, combining a vibrant personality, helpful demeanor, and professional communication skills to manage access to St. Louis Cemetery No. 1 front gates.

Stationed outdoors, at the gates of St. Louis Cemetery No. 1, Gate Attendants manage the entry/exit point: opening the Gates for approved Cemetery Tour groups - collecting tickets from Tour Patrons as they pass - closing the Gates behind the Tour Group. The gate attendant is a control point, but managed in the most positive and experience enhancing ways.

The Gate Attendant is also prepared to provide guest services to anyone approaching the gate unfamiliar with our tours, to provide field support to Tour Groups inside of the Cemetery as needed. They will regularly inspect the Tour Route / Tour Groups and ensure company staff and tour patrons properly adhere to all safety and preservation protocols. Access control only, No cash transactions on-site.
