Responsibilities
- Ensures a clean and organized environment for patients and staff
- Daily cleaning- introduces themselves and receives permission to clean customer room, cleans room according to daily clean protocol, replaces sharps containers as necessary
- Discharge cleaning- removes all equipment/supplies including closet areas, cleans room according to discharge clean protocol, replaces sharps containers as necessary, uses Bed Tracker properly, befor e and after completion of bed
- Common area cleaning (family lounges, consultation rooms, locker rooms, break rooms, etc.)- receives permission to clean area from customer,cleans rooms according defined protocol for specific areas
- Repairs- notifies supervisor of repairs needed ie. drapes, lights, privacy curtains replacement,maintains assigned equipment for cleanliness and good working order, observes and reports the need for repair of hospital and department equipment, observes and reports the need for repair of hospital and departmental equipment, furniture and fixtures
- Waste stream procedures
- Set-ups- completes conference room set-ups as requested, completes set-ups on time, cleans conference rooms according to procedure
Education
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
Qualification/Skills
Experience
- < li> Previous hospital or clinical housekeeping experience preferred
Skills
- Ability to read and write in English and to follow verbal or written directions with minimal supervision
Work Schedule
- (ER 25) 3:00pm-11:30pm (Every Weekend)
