Position description
The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology supports women throughout their lifelong journey from childbearing age to menopause and beyond. Mayo Clinic's team-based approach includes doctors, surgeons, certified nurse midwives, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants who also participate in research and education. The research portfolio of the Department of OB/GYN is supported by NIH grants, foundation awards, and philanthropic gifts.
The Mayo Clinic Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking an accomplished clinician engaged in research who will expand our discovery and translational research enterprise and help grow the practice. This clinician engaged in research position is intended to be the head of the OB/GYN Division of Research and to develop an independent translational research program leading to important discoveries and clinical applications thereof that will impact currently unmet needs of OB/GYN patients.
Applications should include a CV and an NIH Biosketch/Statement of Research Interests.
License or certification
We are seeking a board-certified MD or MD/PhD candidate with broad understanding in one or more of the OB/GYN areas of Gynecologic Oncology, Gynecology, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Obstetrics, Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility, Reproductive Genetics, or Urogynecology. The candidate must possess clinical expertise as well as experience directing lab-based and translational research projects, securing extramural funding, and a strong publication record. Candidate must have one or more NIH R01 grants or equivalent grants and a proven record of collaborative science endeavors.
