At Fairview Clinics - Highland Park we are seeking a board certified/board eligible Family Medicine or Med/Peds p! hysician to join a group of two physicians and three nurse practitioners. In addition to seeing patients in the clinic, the group shares clinic call with another clinic group, and rounds on newborns in the nursery. Call is very low in intensity and nursery rounds average 0-3 babies each day. Opportunity to perform procedures is based on your interests. Practitioners see about 20-22 patients per day. This highly regarded and successful practice offers a full array of on-site services to meet the needs of the community.
Practice Information
Onsite services include Ob/Gyn, podiatry and pharmacy and diagnostic services including lab, mammography and X-ray.
The practitioners work an expectation of 36 patient contact hours per week. Clinic hours are: Monday, Thursday and Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Tuesday and Wednesday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Call is 1:9 and is for an entire week every ninth week. Rounding is 1:15 and is one week in every 15 weeks. Call is ve! ry low in intensity (average 2 calls each night) and rounding ! is on newborns only (average 0-3 babies each day).
The practitioners use a team approach in managing clinical care. The site is using a new model, Care Model Innovation, in providing care for their patients which actively looks at and changes clinical processes to maximize efficiency, resources, and clinical care. The site is also developing care packages and will become a certified health care home.
We have a fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and every provider uses the EMR.
Physicians admit adult patients to the Fairview hospitalist service at the University of Minnesota Medcial Center, Fairview.
