Description: Metro OB/GYN is currently seeking to employ Medical Assistant right now, this career will be placed in Minnesota. Busy OB/GYN clinic with multiple locations, including Apple Valley, Maplewood, Downtown St Paul and Woodbury looking for a full time Medical Assistant, Monday-Friday.

Duties and Responsibiliti! es :

• V erifies and documents patient information by interviewing patient; recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit.
• Prepares patients for examination by taking vital signs and performs laboratory testing.
• D raws blood and records lab testing as ordered by provider
• A dministers intramuscular injections as prescribed by provider
• Completes necessary documentation using Electronic Medical Records.
• Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations. Knowledgeable of HIPAA aspects of medical records.
• Contact patients with results and instructions as directed by provider and follow up when patients call.
• Schedule patient’s appointments when physician called out of clinic or as directed .
• A ssist with other support activities, to include cleaning and preparing exam rooms, p ackaging and st! erilizing equipment and maintain supply inventory.
• P ! erforms other work-related du ties as requested.

Education and Experience :

• Completion of medical assistant program required, CMA preferred.
• One year experience in medical office environment.

OB/GYN experience a plus.
