Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic medical sonography examinations to provide source information for interpretation by radiologist for referring physicians
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Willingness to be flexible in work schedule
Proficient in performing abdominal and small parts, obstetric, gynecologic, and vascular ultrasound procedures
Knowledge of equipment functions, transducer selection, set-up parameters, and US physics
Ability to assist physician with invasive procedures and sterile technique
Qualifications
Education/Experience
Graduate of a formal diagnostic medical sonography program with active certification by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
BLS
ARDMS or eligible and completed within 6 months of hire
1-2 years experience in a hospital setting preferred
Skills
Knowledge of anatomy/p! athology, medical terminology, strong computer skills
Excellent communication skills
Ability to service patients in a friendly and efficient manner
Pay,Benefits, & Work Schedule
Part time (24 hours/week)
Tue/Wed/Thursday Days plus call rotation
Every 3rd weekend
Non-Contract
