Responsibilities
RNs working in this setting will be required to provide preoperative and postoperative care for inpatient and outpatient surgicals, including ICU patients
Responsible for assessment and care of patients prior to surgery and immediately post anesthesia, and preparation of ambulatory patients for discharge to home on day of surgery
Qualifications
Education/Experience
Current MN RN license
1 year current PACU experience required or 1 year ICU experience required
Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
Team player, strong patient advocate
Offer of employment contingent upon successful completion of prescreening test given at time of interview
Medical terminology
ACLS
BLS
Skills
The following skills are required: Airway and ventilator management, cardiac monitoring with cardiac arrhythmia interpretation, and hemodynamic monito! ring and management of vasoactive medications
ACLS required upon completion of orientation
Pay,Benefits, & Work Schedule
Part time position
32 hours/week
Evening shift
Every 6th weekend
MNA contract
RN hires with less than 1 year of RN experience must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing (American Association of Colleges of Nursing or The National League for Nursing) which is inclusive of a clinical rotation in an acute care facility.
