Job Description Mayo Clinic Health System in Owatonna has an opportunity for a Diagnostic Cardiologist in their Owatonna, Minnesota location. The current outreach model provides Cardiology 3 days per week, and the need has grown into a full time opportunity for an energetic BE/BC physician in Cardiovascular Medicine. This position is a dual appointment with Mayo Clinic Health System and Mayo Clinic Rochester Division of Cardiology.
This is a full time, week day only position, without call. The majority of work is in the outpatient setting with an average daily patient load of 12 to 14 patients, with a mix of new consults and return visits. Inpatient work consists of a limited number of consults as well as transesophageal echo and cardioversion. Candidates must have ACLS certification. Other responsibilities include reading cardiac diagnostic studies, including stress tests, Holter monitors and echocardiograms. Candidates must be a ! team player, and be able to communicate well with patients and! colleagues. There is the option to spend up to 0.2 of the FTE at the Rochester Campus working in the diagnostic cardiology area.
Compensation is based on qualifications and experience, plus benefits and production incentive.
