Certified Surgical Technologist - Part Time

The Surgical Technologist provides direct and indirect care services that meet the psychological, physical and general aspects of patient care; meeting the commun! ication needs of the patient. Provides supportive measures to medical care providers in the management of direct and indirect care services in the clinic setting as well as in the surgery department.
The Surg Tech will assist the OB/Gyn during operative and invasive procedures. Ensures operating suite is adequately prepared for procedure. Monitors the level of all surgical instruments and supplies. Cleans and sterilizes all surgical instruments. By taking c-section call, this role will is also invited to assist in any c-section being performed at the GRHS campus.
Candidate must demonstrate a high level of both internal and external customer service orientation and respond in a timely manner to all patients and internal customer requests.
Demonstrates ability to effectively communicate with other Physician Support Staff and healthcare disciplines to provide patient centered care.
Carries out specific nursing procedures within the scope of ! practice as ordered by medical staff. Serves as a patient advo! cate and a resource for all safety related efforts and concerns. Ensures safety compliance with regulating agencies.
This part time, benefits eligible position is scheduled 49 hours per pay period (every two weeks). This role will work primarily in our clinic with one day a week assisting the OB/Gyn in surgical cases as well as during c-sections being performed.
Job Qualifications:
Candidate must be a graduate from an accredited surgical technologist program and possess current certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology.
Must be able to meet facility required physical job requirements.
Must have current BLS healthcare provider certification.
Participates as a supportive member of the entire GRHS team to provide the best service for all customers.
Proactively works to be a contributing member; participates in and supports the team decisions and outcomes.
