Responsibilities
Home visits for postpartum mom and newborns, post c/birth wound care
Antepartum home visits for IV therapy, fetal monitoring, skilled nursing assessments etc.
Must own and drive a car with good driving history
Must live in one of the Geographic locations: North/West Area: North of 394/94 and West of hwy 65: such as (but not limited to) North Minneapolis, Brooklyn Park, Brooklyn Center, Crystal, Maple Grove, etc.
Geographic location of home visits: in all 11+ counties in the metro area
Qualifications
Education/Experience
Licensed RN with preference of BSN and Public Health Nursing Certificate
Minimum of 5 years current inpatient obstetric experience in the care of postpartum mother and newborn and antepartum fetal monitoring, IV skills: starting and ma! intaining IV's required
Prefer previous home care experience caring for antepartum and/or postpartum patients in the home
Driver's license
BLS
Skills
Ability to practice independently with excellent critical thinking skills
Must have excellent communication with patients/families and the health care team
Antepartum, fetal monitoring skills and mother/baby postpartum assessments and care
Basic computer skills - working daily with a computerized medical record
Prefer OB Home Care experience/PHN experience
Pay,Benefits, & Work Schedule
Part time posiiton
24 hours/week
Day shift
Weekend rotations: rotation and other MNA labor management agreements
MNA contract
RN hires with less than 1 year of RN experience must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing (American Association of Colleges of Nursing or The National League fo! r Nursing) which is inclusive of a clinical rotation in an acute care f! acility.
