United Family Medicine Residency Program (UFMR), sponsored by Allina Health, is a community based 6-6-6, fully accredited residency, and a Federally Qualified Health Care Clinic Look-a-Like (FQHC-LA). The program focuses on training residents for care of urban and rural underserved populations. It has a strong Community Oriented Primary Care focus, collaborating to improve the health of the West Seventh Community. The clinic offers patients medical services on a sliding fee scale and averages over 50,000 patient visits per year, focusing on meeting the needs of the medically underserved, balanced with serving persons who span the economic spectrum. The clinic has a long-standing reputation of service to the community. It has a rich history of partnership with individuals, families, and community.
Responsibilities
Direct patient care with obstetrics, teaching and precepting residents and medical students
40% Outpatient responsibilities; 10% inpatient responsibilities
Call is approximately once per week, once in every 8 weekends and 1-2 holidays/year.
Patients admitted to United Hospital in St. Paul, a 546-licensed bed teaching hospital.
Work with a diverse population of patients, medically uninsured, underinsured and underserved residents of St. Paul.
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system is utilized in the clinic and hospital.
Qualifications
Board Eligible/Board Certified (BE/BC) Family Physician
Prior experience is preferred.
MN License required or able to obtain MN license.
