As the Office Assistant with the Mental Health Regulatory Agency (MHRA), you will perform a variety of general clerical tasks, to establish and maintain a paperless office, and to support licensure and compliance documentation and archiving. Hybrid or remote work is not currently available for employee working in this position. Typical working hours for this position are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. The Mental Health Regulatory Agency (MHRA) provides effective coordination of administrative and regulatory functions of regulated boards involved in protecting the public from harm through the licensing and regulation of behavioral and mental health professions in Oregon. MHRA promotes public protection through effective behavioral and mental health policy, outreach, and training to stakeholders to improve compliance with public health and safety standards, and involvement of stakeholders in the regulation of various disciplines and fields of practice. MHRA forms partnerships with and works in collaboration with local and state governmental agencies, educators, organizations, and other affected entities to encourage diverse opinions and perspectives.
What We Are Looking For
Minimum Qualifications:
  • At least one year of general clerical experience; OR
  • An equivalent combination of training and experience.
Desired Attributes:
  • Experience processing scanned documents using Adobe applications.
  • Communication skills at the professional level with experience providing high-quality written communications; Ability to communicate information to a diverse audience in a clear and professional manner.
  • Ability to work independently, anticipate needs, assess situations, and act in accordance with agency laws, rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining confidentiality of records.
  • Ability to ensure completion of projects and assignments, work independently, and organize work efficiently with a high attention to detail.
  • Experience processing and editing documents using Microsoft Office (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint) and Adobe (e.g., Acrobat) applications.
