Job Description


For our new location in Muttenz (BL) we are looking for a Process Engineer (m/f/d). The plant is located in the Getec Park Swiss in Muttenz. Our technical development center Münchwilen is located in the immediate proximity, this will facilitate the collaboration from pilot plant to effective production.

As a Process Engineering Specialist in our Muttenz Manufacturing Site, you will be given excellent opportunities for creating industry-leading benchmarks in process development, introduction of new active ingredient products & their manufacturing. The focus of the position also includes providing specific manufacturing support like troubleshooting equipment and process issues, identifying and implementing process improvements, and ensuring that product quality and production targets are met. You will contribute to creating a collaborative working environment within the Global Process Technology Department and create elegant technical solutions.

Your responsibilities:

  • Provide process and chemical engineering assessments supporting scale-up/ scale-down and optimization of unit operations to produce new active ingredients and intermediates
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D (Muenchwilen), production, quality, maintenance, and engineering to identify and implement process improvements
  • Represent chemical engineering support for Capital Projects
  • Conduct Process Risk Assessments and implement Hazard Controls
  • You will carry out technical investigations to identify the underlying causes of process deviations and equipment failures and implement corrective actions
  • Identify, evaluate & introduce new technologies to existing manufacturing processes that can improve process efficiency, product quality, and plant safety
  • You will provide manufacturing support on processes both internally and externally for the introduction of new processes

Qualifications
  • Higher education in Chemical or Process Engineering (at least Master level or equivalent). Significant experience in a chemical production and process development environment having led technology development and technology transfer campaigns for specialty chemicals
  • Knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes, process design, and process optimization
  • Experience in process safety design and assessment, health issues arising from chemical operations and environmental sustainability aspects of chemical production
  • Business fluency in English & German. French is an advantage
