Optotune Switzerland AG is a strongly growing and internationally active optics company based in Zurich, Switzerland. We develop, manufacture and market the latest generation of adaptive optical elements for industrial and consumer markets. Optotune’s vision is to enable our customers to create innovative products by providing them with unique optical components.

\_\_Description of role: Liquid lenses are the flagship product line at Optotune and the very first product which has been developed and patented. As the technological advantage is becoming clearer to a broader audience, the support to our customers is key to continuing our growth. Your task is to take Optotune’s products (liquid lenses and optical actuators) sales to the next level by scaling up our core markets, finding new applications for existing products, or developing new markets by acquiring development projects.\_\_

Tasks

  • Acquisition of new customers worldwide
  • Collaboration with external sales representatives
  • Growth of strategic partnerships within the ecosystem
  • Market research & input for product management
  • Participation in trade shows
  • Content creation for marketing materials (website, brochures, newsletters, ads)
Requirements

  • Must have a technical background (MSc or equivalent)
  • At least 3 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in machine vision, cameras or optics
  • Ability to identify new customers, build up & maintain relationships
  • Ability to understand customers' technical requirements and suggest solutions
  • Passion for sales, friendly personality, well organized, autonomous and prepared to travel internationally
  • Excellent knowledge of English, good knowledge of German, and other languages advantageous
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office applications
