Oversight and leadership of obstetrics unit including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum and normal newborn nursery
Ability t! o manage financial resources, staff development and staffing plans
Defines, interprets and maintains standards of practice within the department
Ability to work closely with physicians and clinical service line to initiate best of practice initiatives and meet patient experience goals
Provides leadership using critical thinking, problem solving and managing conflict
Education
BSN required but may obtain within an established time frame after hire
Qualifications
Experience:
A minimum of three years recent Obstetrical experience required
Supervisory or leadership experience preferred
Licensure/Certifications:
BLS
NRP
MN RN license required
Skills:
Advanced written and verbal communication skills
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Ability to work independently
Ability to maintain flexibility to adapt to a variety of workload ! assignments
Ability to develop and interpret policies and ! procedures
RN hires with less than 1 year of RN experience must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing (American Association of Colleges of Nursing or The National League for Nursing) which is inclusive of a clinical rotation in an acute care facility.
Pay,Benefits, & Work Schedule
Full time position (40 hours/week)
Day Shift (Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm)
No weekends
