Job Description
Mayo Clinic Health System in Owatonna has a full time position for a BE/BC Pediatrician physician in a highly respected, physician led medical center in Owatonna, Minnesota. This would be the third provider in a three-provider department.
Call is 1:3, and there is an average of 28 patient care hours per week. The physician would see an average of 18-23 patients per day.

Requirements:
- M.D., D.O., or foreign degree equivalent required
- Must be eligible for MN med! ical licensure
- Must be BC/BE in Pediatrics or be in g! ood standing in the final year of accredited program leading to board eligibility in Pediatrics
- Provide patient care in a clinic and hospital setting.
- Diagnose and treat diseases and injuries of pediatric patients on an in-patient and out-patient basis.
- Conduct a comprehensive evaluation of patient.
- Examine patients for symptoms of organic or congenital disorders.
- Prescribe medications and treatments.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Determine hospital admissions and discharges.
- Attend C-sections.
- Discuss patient and management of care with other physicians as needed.
- Call is 1:3

The Owatonna Hospital - Allina is adjacent to the Owatonna Clinic. The newly completed hospital opened in October 2009 and is comprised of 131,000 square feet with 50 beds, 4 ICU beds, 4 OR rooms, and 12 ED exam rooms.
