Responsibilities :
Perform screening and diagnostic digital mammography and interventional breast imaging procedures in an outpatient setting and respond to patient's educational needs. Entering data into automated medical record system. Processing of digital imaging studies - retrieving/loading imaging studies electronically, printing films. Retrieving and printing radiology reports. Prepping X-ray jackets appropriately. Answering telephones. Cleaning, prepping and stocking patient procedure rooms. Meet hospital and department standards for attendance and punctuality. Maintain patient confidentiality.
Qualifications : Education/Experience ARRT and mammography certification required. Screening and diagnostic mammography experience using full-field digital mammography equipment required, including 8 hours of dedicated FFDM training. Breast ultrasound experience required. Stereotactic breast biopsy experience required. Radioactive seed localization experience required. Recent (within the past 12 months) experience working as a mammography technologist in a breast center performing the above listed screening and diagnostic breast imaging procedures required.
Skills Good time management skills and ability to work in a fast paced setting. Requires excellent customer service skills in recent job history. Must be able to work independently. Must have strong computer skills. Ability to multitask. Able to troubleshoot and problem solve. Able to work with others and promote a harmonious work environment. Strong organizational skills a must. Must be detail oriented Able to adapt to departments needs. Able to meet the physical demands within the department: walking, sitting, bending, squatting, reaching, lifting, standing, carrying, pushing, pulling, kneeling.
