University of Minnesota Physicians Broadway Family Medicine Clinic is committed to setting the standard for excellence in health care delivery for you and your family. We see newborns, children, teenagers, adults, seniors, and people living in nursing homes. Our clinic offers services in family medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, social services, patient education, and referrals to specialty care. We are a Certified Health Care Home and offer enhanced care coordination services.
The Medical Assistant, Credentialed at our Broadway Family Medicine Clinic performs delegated medical functions under t! he direction of a physician or RN in the delivery of care for ! all assigned patient populations. The CMA is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedure and practice guidelines. This position will prepare exam rooms for patient visits and restock supplies as needed, adhere to infection control policies/procedures for exam room and instrument/equipment cleaning, room patients and gather data for patient assessments, document care in the medical record, and other duties as assigned.
In order to be successful in this role, you must possess:
Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program (CAAHEP or ABHES). Must be certified as a Medical Assistant or be able to obtain certification within one year of hire
Be a team player, flexible, organized, and possess excellent customer service skills
Preferred:
X-Ray certification
Lab experience
