JOB SUMMARY : Administers anesthesia to patients of all ages in the operating room, delivery room, and provides other related services as needed in other patient care areas according t! o Medical Center policies and procedures. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.
Work in a Dept of 10 CRNA's and 5 MDs. Supervised practice includes Ortho, General Surgery, OBGYN, ENT and others. Work in Hospital, St. Joseph's Medical Center and Ambulatory Surgery Center.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience: 1. Has graduated from an accredited school of nursing. 2. Has graduated from an accredited school of nurse anesthesia.
Licensure/Credentials: 1. Holds a current license in the state of Minnesota . 2. Is certified by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists; or has graduated from an accredited school of nurse anesthesia and is awaiting initial certification. Must pass certification exam within 12 months of graduation. 3. Re-certified on biannual basis by American Association of ! Nurse Anesthetists.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Menta! l Requirements 1. Knowledge of current principles and methods of general, regional and local anesthetics. 2. Ability to function in stressful and emergent situations
