Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Clinical Director of Programs and Services the Manager of Risk and Compliance assures that all standards and requirements are met, across all SKRI sites, by provides strategic leadership for development and improvement of systems and processes which support a culture of high reliability. This position is responsible for the implementation and success of these systems and processes. This position promotes evidenced-based practice to achieve safe patient care and regulatory compliance. The Patient Safety Risk Manager supports staff participation as all levels and promotes communication and feedback mechanisms throughout the organization. This position provides managerial leadership for the daily operations of risk, safety, patient representative functions including, but not! limited to the supervision of staff activities, budget, staffing, and problem solving & resolution at each of the Courage Kenny locations.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:
RN preferred, CPHRM a plus.
Masters Degree preferred in Healthcare Related field.
Understanding of compliance, HIPPA, accrediation and risk within the health care spectrum of post acute and outpatient, as well as, inpatient, desired.
Broad, solid experience in clinical care and healthcare operations.
Able to understand, analysis, interpret and share data to achieve outcomes and goals.
Minimum of 5 years in an acute care setting, with increasing responsibilities in patient safety, risk management and/or quality management.
Able to foster positive working relationships with medical staff, professionals and team members.
Able to work and succeed in a matrixed environment.
Able to work in a consultative manner focusing on capturing and generati! ng ideas and making recommendations without directing.

Commitment to quality and customer service, as a journey as well as, a goal.

Licensure/Certifications:
Licensed required: RN

Skills:
Able to communicate (verbal and written) effectively to various audiences.
