Responsibilities The Patient Care Manager is responsible for the quality of care administered to patients in his/her area of responsibility, seven days a week, 24 hours a day This individual provides leadership and direction of the operations, organization, administration, and evaluation of a patient care unit(s) in the Nursing Department He/she works collaboratively with Director and Vice President to advise and coordinate development and implementation of departmental standards He/she is accountable for the development and implementation of methods to improve patient care and enhance staff development He/she participates in strategic and operational planning and appropriate allocation and monitoring of resource utilization planning Qualifications Education/Experience BS or BS in Nursing required 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience Previous management experie! nce Evidence of continued professional growth and leadership Skills Collaboration, Negotiation, Delegation, Consensus Building, Problem Solving, Planning, Organizing, Personnel Management, Conflict Management, Fiscal Management Flexibility, Initiative, Creativity, Team Building Pay,Benefits, & Work Schedule Full time (40 hours/week) 8 hours Day Shift Exempt position Non-Contract Location/Community Information Minneapolis boasts being both cosmopolitan yet small enough that you can find a place to call home whether on a lake, golf course, or in an adjoining suburb.
