Responsibilities Work with patients, cardiologists, NPs, PAs, and other disciplines in the clinic during a patient's clinic visit. Assist with patient discharge planning with physician. Triage cardiology related phone calls from patients. Work with cardiologists to provide test results (labs, imaging, event monitors) to patients.
Provide information to pharmacies for cardiology patients' prescription refills according to established protocols. Qualifications Education/Experience: Current MN RN License Minimum 3 years Cardiology ICU or telemetry experience required. ACLS required. Must be able to interpret cardiac rhythms.
Licensure/Certifications: ACLS BLS Medical Terminology License Required: RN Skills: Able lo work independently and manage time effectively. Needs good understanding of patient flow. Able to make clinical decisions ! within nursing scope of practice and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Strong patient advocate, good communication skills in person and via phone.
RN hires with less than 1 year of RN experience must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing (American Association of Colleges of Nursing or The National League for Nursing) which is inclusive of a clinical rotation in an acute care facility.
