Responsibilities Applicant must not have been involved in a disciplinary action in the past three years, must show the ability to meet their work agreement, and must demonstrate the ability to arrive to work on time. Review OR schedule daily, prep upcoming cases, coordinate case needs Provide direct patient care approximately 50% time Participate in coordination of staff education, development of clinical skills Monitor instrument, supply, and equipment needs for the CVOR service Monitor staffing schedules for the CVOR service Maintain surgeons’ preference cards Accountable for team work and efficiency of the serviceâ€"first case starts, turnover between cases, changes during the day Provide input for performance reviews Fills in for other specialties as appropriate based on the Resource Nurse’s skill set Will assume charge responsibilities when needed Participate/promote/lead team building Serve as a role model Requirements: Temporary, one year position Three years of recent CVOR specialty or related OR experienceâ€"must be able to circulate all cases. Interview Criteria: In an interview/selection process, must be able to describe, demonstrate, and show a history of the following skills and abilities: excellent critical thinking and clinical skills communication skills with staff, managers, physicians, other personnel positive, proactive response to conflicts, assist with resolution of issues set priorities based on patient care requirements and available staff consistent commitment to and participation in professional growth and developmentâ€"personal and staff timely completion of all required competencies and continuing education excellent organizational skills and ability to work well under pressure Qualifications Education: RN Minnesota License 2 Year and 4 Year.
Experience 2 years of RN experience required. 2 years of OR experience required. Scrub experience required. CVOR experience preferred.
Surg Tech experience in an OR setting can count toward the 2 years of OR experience requirement. Skills: CV Experience. Licensure/Certifications: BLS Medical Terminology. RN Minnesota License.
