Summary / Responsibilities - Registered Nurse - L & D, Post Partum & Nursery: The OB/GYN Nurse completes nursing assessment of patient and documents appropriately into patient chart. Utilizes the nursing process in developing a plan of care. Implements plan of care and documents in chart. Evaluates the patient's response to care and plans revision to care as needed. Engages in patient/family education and teaching as appropriate. Develops a discharge plan and participates in multidisciplinary discharge planning teams. Administers specified medication, orally, by subcutaneous or intermuscular injection, intravenously and documents all aspects of medication administration. Observes patients for adverse reactions to medication or treatment. Assembles and uses equipment appropriately during procedures commonly performed by registered nurses. Able to perform CPR, responds to Codes according to policy/procedure. Maintains professional standards by participating in committees, inservices, and quality improvement teams. Registered Nurse - L & D, Post Partum & NurseryRequirements - Registered Nurse - L & D, Post Partum & Nursery:Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited college or university. BSN preferred 1-2 years-Maternal Child/GYN experience or 2 years M/S experience. RN license in the state of North Dakota.Certifications: BLS, NRPPay:Based on experience.
